The 2006/07 edition handles federal submissions for the 2006 tax year, and also handles 2007 state quarterly unemployment submissions for states that use the federal standard formats. In addition, this release of the eFile Prep package also includes the capability to create the special California quarterly combined unemployment and withholding submissions now used in that state.

The 2006/07 eFile Prep module is a native Windows based product -- no DOS-based or UNIX versions are available. Suggested retail price is $595.

It is important that all patches through #28 be properly installed before trying to create submissions with eFile Prep, and for Payroll users that the employee names have been updated as per the instructions in eNewsletter #44. If all patches have not been installed then you will see lots of errors, and the files created will not be in conformance with federal and state requirements. Any properly registered RTS-Advantage user purchasing eFile Prep may request a free patch CD to be included with their purchase. Be sure to tell your dealer that you wish to take advantage of this offer, and give them the serial number from your registered version 4 product.

Just another reminder that the beta testing period for our new Windows-based Bank Reconciliation module ends on December 31st. If you have enrolled for the beta test we ask that you submit your completed test form (included with the beta test) by that time. End users who submit completed forms by this date will be eligible for the special discount discussed in the email that accompanied your testing instructions.
