Items Produced
A total redesign of the annoying and confusing DOS interface, this
production screen has a lot of stuff going on, but you'll be surprised
at how easy it is to use and the power and flexibility will have you
wondering how you ever got along without it.
Here's a roundup of the major new features:
- When you produce new serial numbers or into new warehouses, you have the chance to enter basic information about these new additions that will be saved on the new serial numbers/warehouses. If you are producing into existing data for either, the same fields function as viewers to see the current settings.
- When deallocating production allocations you can choose to enter specific values for the customer, order number and date, or have the program ignore any of those fields as it looks for matching allocation detail. No need to go find out exact allocation data if your productions are done somewhat informally.
- Each immediate child item of your assembly is listed in the Assembly Detail Information table. You'll see exactly what parts are needed and the quantities required. If you use warehouses and/or serial numbers, you'll be able to edit that information on a child item by child item basis. And even better, if you have the need to specify multiple warehouses or serial numbers for a child item, just use the New button to add a line of detail (as shown below for child item 1015).
